Award-winning offline editor Michael ‘Hooli’ Houlahan has joined the Heckler Singapore roster. Hooli has over 25 years experience working with notable brands such as Heineken, McDonalds, Grab, Olay, KFC, Doordash, 711, Latitude, Mazda, Jaguar, Chrysler & Renault.

As an eleven year veteran of the company, Bonnie was the natural choice to head up the new studio alongside Creative Director Johnny Green and their roster of talented composers and sound designers. Bonnie will be responsible for driving new business opportunities for the division as well as scouting new talent.

I would like to share my experience as Art Director for this project, beyond just the challenges of the process. I do this not only because I believe we achieved an interesting result but also because the creation process revealed relevance for the times in which we live. 

The studio is best known for high-end 3D character animation and print work for advertising, branded content, and music projects with superstars like Gorillaz and Moby.

Character design is not just about drawing pretty pictures; it’s about creating life in all its shades and breathing it into their world. To design compelling characters that connect with people is undoubtedly challenging, and it can be a rather intimidating process. Well, I’d like to help...
