Photos etc. Creating the textures, create the models, something he calls the planning cycle, (nice idea)between the planning and creation of objects. For someone so young, he has lots of wisdom.

Collections is important For organization and provides a way to animate multiple Shots in your Scenes a little easier. You can also use instances and Collections to save modeling time, and have faster renders.
 

Insipration

Well, interesting to note, This guys shots are movie level quality.  He's using compositing for sure with the different layers of background, mid ground, and the street with the cars.  Sort of reminds me how lucas had the motion control rigs to shoot the different elements with the same camera motions.
